If you are around Istiklal Street and you want to eat something special with chocolate, let your body to take you to İnci Pastanesi (Patisserie). That place is a very cute that is not only locals of Istanbul but also tourists often visit.
İnci Pastanesi is opened in 1944. Luka Zigori who is Albanian is the owner of that place. By the way, in the past there were big places in Taksim and it wasn’t easy to live among them. For this reason, he agreed to get into shop with different taste. Than, he went to France to learn how to cook a special Profiterole. After coming back to Taksim he introduced profiterole for the locals of Taksim and Istanbul.
If you enter into the shop you will see profiteroles on the on your left side. İnci Pastanesi’s workers keeps the recipe of İnci’s profiterol as a secret. For that, no patisseries can imitate that profiteroles. You should also eat Krem Karamel that is also very delicious.
Unluckily, İnci Pastanesi doesn’t serve its great Profiteroles in its first Patisserie in Taksim, which was in the Serkil Doryan Building on İstiklal Street, anymore. Even though İnci Pastanesi serves in a different place in another street, and İnci’s profiteroles are still as delicious as firsts.
